Not a Prisoner for Long

An unfinished pastel painting I did while I was in a relationship with someone that ended up becoming pretty awful and controlling. I ended up leaving the relationship in a pretty ruthless way (It didn't involve violence, lol) I don't even think I fully realized what was going on when I drew this, I should have looked at what my subconscious was trying to tell me. I think this painting makes it pretty clear how I felt about my situation at the time.
